Senior Associate

Dr. Begum Verjee, PCC, is a Senior Associate with Weiss International Ltd. She is an accredited Professional Certified Coach (PCC) with the International Coach Federation and completed her Professional Coach training with the Faculty of Coaching at the Adler Graduate Professional School, an accredited coach training program. As a coach, she is a co-active partner who inspires her clients to lead with clarity and purpose, realize their full potential, and deliver results through self-reflection, feedback, and accountability. She has worked in the Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI) space for over 25 years as a consultant, trainer, and educator. Begum has a doctorate in Educational Leadership & Policy, and a master’s in Counselling Psychology, both from the University of British Columbia, and brings her extensive leadership experience in a range of Industry settings to her client sessions. Prior to establishing herself as a coach, Begum held several leadership and senior leadership positions in the post-secondary sector.

Begum has coached individuals in Education, Healthcare, Not-for-Profits and Foundations, Banking & Finance, Insurance, Tech & Communications, Government, and Food & Beverage, among other sectors. As a JEDI coach, she has worked extensively with women, under-represented, minoritized and equity deserving groups. Begum is based in Toronto, Canada, and is actively involved in local and global enterprises in coach education and training. She is a member of Adler’s Coaching faculty with Red Maple Coaching and Consulting; on faculty with Adler’s Master of Psychology program; on faculty with the Inclusion Coach Certification program; and on faculty with the International Committee of Adlerian Summer Schools and Institutes (ICASSI). Begum is a member of the International Coaching Federation (ICF), member of the Graduate School Alliance for Education in Coaching (GSAEC), and member of the Association of Coach Training Organizations (ACTO). She is also EQi-2.0 certified.

Begum was a Council of Ambassador, Canadian representative, with the International Coaching Federation Foundation from 2020-2022 where she was involved with amplifying and accelerating social impact coaching globally. She also is the recipient of the International Coaching Federation (ICF) Toronto Chapter 2023 ‘Volunteer of the Year Award.’
