Senior Associate

Françoise Morissette is a Senior Associate of Weiss International Ltd. She is a bilingual Human Resource Consultant and a major contributor to the field of Organizational Development. Her consulting practice takes her across Canada and internationally. For instance, she has been involved in projects in Sweden, Finland, France and the UK. Françoise offers services that enhance the performance of organizations, teams and individuals. Her main area of expertise is Leadership Development. Through a variety of interventions, Françoise helps leaders to increase their effectiveness and organizations to enhance their leadership capacity.

Françoise holds an undergraduate degree in Human Sciences (major Psychology) from the University of Ottawa and a Masters’ in Adult Education from l’Université de Montréal. In 2000, she completed a post-graduate certificate in Coaching from The Coaches Training Institute located in San Rafael, California and is now accredited as a Professional Certified Coach by the International Coach Federation (ICF).

Since 1994, Françoise has been a faculty member at Queen’s University prestigious Industrial Relations Centre (www.industrialcentre.com) where she has presented on HR Strategy, Change Management, Consulting Skills and Organizational Development. She has played a key role in the development of the new OD Certificates (Foundations and Master, currently being rolled out and offered in various locations across the country. In September 2006, she was made a Fellow of the IRC. She is also an Associate of the Centre for Leadership Studies at the University of Guelph.

With HR expert Amal Henein, CHRP, Françoise has written Made in Canada Leadership, published by John Wiley and Sons, Canada in May 2007. The book is the product of a large research on best practices on leadership development: 295 exceptional leaders from all sectors of the economy and 66 leadership development professionals were interviewed to find the answers to the following questions:

  • What are the best ways to develop competent leaders?
  • How to ensure a reliable supply of capable leaders for the country?
  • How to strengthen Canadian Leadership?

She has also contributed to Global Impact, a book on best HR practices from around the world and has written case studies and articles such as Telcomco, a lesson in customer service training, a fictitious case published by Queen’ s University IRC Press. For Queen’s, she has also written several cases about corporations such as Zellers, Cirque du Soleil and the Stratford Festival of Canada.
